My work is an ongoing exploration of creativity, spirituality, intuition, and the human experience. Through painting, oracle cards, writing, conversation, and shared experiences, I invite others to explore their own journey of self-discovery.

Through painting, writing, spirituality, and exploration, I seek to understand the deeper dimensions of the human experience.

What emerges from chaos, is beauty. I live for that.
Imagine what can emerge through transcendence.
Becoming aware of the inner sensations of the body through a connection with the heart is one of the keys to spiritual development. Reaching this point of inner communication can be challenging for many people.
The complex nature of our being—spirit, mind, and body, often referred to as the trinity—can be a difficult concept to fully grasp. Yet once understood, it can dramatically change the way we perceive ourselves and the world around us.
Metaphysical understanding brings awareness to the importance of this trinity, and spiritual growth depends greatly on recognizing and nurturing the relationship between these three aspects of our being.
I have often been asked, “What do you mean by ‘How do I feel?’” It was only when this question was posed that I realized how many people struggle to identify their feelings. Feeling hot or cold is one thing, but true feelings exist on a much deeper level.
In many Western societies, the suppression of emotions and a disconnection from feelings have become commonplace. This disassociation can affect many areas of life, often without our awareness. Too often, we go through life unaware that we are unaware.
A shift in perspective is essential on the spiritual path. You and your experiences are the primary source of authority in spiritual matters. These experiences include the various states and moods of consciousness that influence how we function, express ourselves, and perceive ourselves, others, and reality as a whole.
How, then, do we begin to understand what feeling truly is?
Mindfulness is a good place to start. The ability to be fully present in the moment, without judgment, and to observe your state of being without becoming entangled in it, allows you to tune into the subtle energies within. As awareness deepens, these subtle energies begin to reveal the emotional and spiritual states you are experiencing.
When you ask yourself, “How do I feel?” and direct that question to the heart rather than the mind, you begin to uncover the true nature of your inner state.
As the mind becomes quiet and stillness emerges, communication with these subtle energies becomes clearer. In that space, your genuine feelings reveal themselves, offering a deeper understanding of the innate union between spirit, mind, and body.

About the creators
Bevil is an artist, an ordained minister and a metaphysical practitioner, who is compelled through his work to express that part of him which yearns for the development of consciousness. His artwork is a reflection of his journey. He hopes that his work resonates with the viewers’ own journey in this wonderful school of life and evolution, or simply brings joy.
He has always felt there was a purpose for his work beyond the impact a painting, however big, can have on its own. Using his paintings or part of them as the imagery on the Windows to Wisdom Oracle Deck warms his heart.
Marike is a being with a colourful multifold calling, one of which is to assist people to use their intuition with greater awareness and to live a joyful life regardless of life’s circumstances. She believes we all can feel peace, love and joy inside by trusting the Universe to provide you with whatever you need. Her interests are in intuition, creativity, healing, working with her hands and living authentically. Marike is thrilled about the creation of this Windows to Wisdom Oracle deck as a collaborative project and uses cards like these often for herself and the benefit of others.
About the creation of this card deck
Bevil is a talented spiritual painter and his life’s work to date was the basis for Marike’s idea to create a card deck from his paintings. Since his paintings are created from a spiritual perspective and are colourful, radiant and profound, they lend themselves beautifully as the backdrop for a deck of cards for self-discovery. From his many paintings, 45 were selected, and of those Bevil created cards each with a one word message. He followed his intuition in naming the cards and we altered some as it seemed to appear more appropriate for use.
The final card deck encompasses 36 cards; the number 36 is important because it is a three and a six, as well as the sum of these numbers being nine. Based on numerological wisdom, 3 indicates joy and creativity as well as the trinity, body, soul and spirit, 6 unconditional love and family, and 9 wisdom. It is a perfect fit for a deck of cards with the theme of wisdom rooted in joy, creativity and the love of mankind.
This deck is intended for self-discovery and assisting one to be authentic and expressive. The authentic self operates from that space in our consciousness which connects with the ultimate Universal Energy, and is driven by passion, feelings, and a strong sense of purpose. May these cards allow you to see deeper into the marvellous miracle which you are.
